**Job Description**
**THE COMPANY**
With offices in Brighton and Skopje and a team in Serbia, Sopro provides sophisticated digital marketing services to hundreds of businesses, from innovative start-ups to global brands.
As the UK’s leading B2B sales engagement service provider, with over 150 employees and backed by 10 years of multi-award-winning results, maturity and scale, Sopro offers a powerful and unique sales engagement proposition. Our relentless focus on innovation makes it an exciting time for both our teams at Sopro and our clients.
Sopro is committed to providing an inclusive, rewarding and fun place to work and received a “Best Place to Work” award at the UK Business Awards 2021.
**THE ROLE**
Sopro is building a data infrastructure where the Data Warehouse (DWH) is the single source of truth for the business. The
**Reporting Analyst**
plays a key role in making that data accessible - translating structured, governed DWH data into clear, reliable reports and dashboards that Heads of and leadership use every day.
This is a hands-on reporting role. You will maintain existing reports, build new ones to meet business needs, and write SQL and calculated measures where needed. You are a consumer of the DWH - working from data that has been prepared and structured by the engineering team - and your focus is on turning that data into something the business can act on.
Assuming the role, you will be proficient in reporting and BI tools including Power BI, Excel, and similar platforms, choosing the right tool for the right output. And you will be AI-native in how you work - using Copilot, Claude and similar tools as default collaborators in your reporting workflow, not occasional helpers.
**Job Requirements**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintain and develop reports and dashboards across business functions using Power BI, Excel, and other reporting tools
- Build calculated measures and columns to support reporting requirements
- Write SQL queries to understand, validate, and work with Data Warehouse data
- Build AI into the reporting workflow — use LLMs (Claude, GitHub Copilot or similar) to accelerate SQL writing, validation, and documentation. Actively look for places where recurring reporting work can be partly automated, and bring proposals for where AI tooling could be worth investing in.
- Work with the Head of Data and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, well-structured outputs
- Ensure all reports are accurate, up to date, and clearly documented
- Support the self-serve enablement programme — helping Heads of understand and use data independently, including through natural-language interfaces over the DWH where appropriate
- Flag data quality issues or gaps to the engineering team where identified through reporting work
- Maintain documentation of report logic, data sources, and metric definitions — using AI to keep documentation in sync with what's actually in production
**About You**
- 2–3 years of experience in a reporting, BI, or data analyst role
- Proficient in Power BI — able to build and maintain dashboards independently
- Strong working knowledge of Excel for data reporting and analysis
- Comfortable writing SQL — for querying data, validating figures, and building measures
- Familiarity with other BI or reporting tools is a plus
- Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and working from structured data sources
- AI-first by default. You write SQL, build dashboards, or draft documentation with AI being in the loop. You stay current on new AI tools and have a view on which ones are worth bringing into a reporting workflow.
- Accuracy is non-negotiable — you double-check totals against source systems before publishing, and treat a report going out with the wrong number as a serious incident
- Clear communicator, able to work with non-technical stakeholders to understand what they need and explain what the data does and doesn't say
- Organised — comfortable managing multiple reporting requests in parallel and being honest about timelines
