**THE ROLE**
As a Web Developer at GDPRLocal, you will play a key role in shaping the digital presence of a fast-growing compliance SaaS company. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, user-friendly websites and web applications that support our brand, product, and business growth.
Working closely with designer, product, and marketing teams, you will translate project briefs and visual concepts into responsive, high-performing digital experiences. You will contribute across the full lifecycle - from wireframes and concepts to implementation, optimisation, and continuous improvement — ensuring our web sites are scalable, accessible, and aligned with best practices.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
· Work with project briefs to create wireframes and full website concepts, translating business needs into intuitive user experiences.
· Design, build, and maintain new websites and web application user interfaces.
· Translate designs, mockups, and functional requirements into responsive, high-quality themes and interfaces.
· Implement new features, enhancements, and content across existing websites and platforms.
· Build and maintain website architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
· Optimise website load time, SEO, accessibility, and overall interactive performance.
· Manage and maintain technical aspects of the CMS, ensuring reliability and availability.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Design) to deliver consistent and aligned digital experiences.
**ABOUT YOU**
· Excellent knowledge of PHP, with hands-on experience building and maintaining API integrations, plugins, themes, custom logic, and data flows within a CMS environment.
· Strong experience with JavaScript and modern front-end development, with a solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and responsive, component-based design systems.
· Confident working with CMS platforms and content-driven websites.
· Able to translate wireframes and mockups into functional interfaces.
· Knowledgeable about performance optimisation, SEO, and accessibility.
· Comfortable using Git in a professional workflow, including working with branches, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
· Proactive, organised, and eager to continuously learn and improve.
