**Credit Controller**
to bring their wider knowledge and help us get our product and service more widely known and used.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Invoice Collection and Negative Balances:**

- Take ownership of the customer invoices collection process.
- Review and match customer payments received on a daily basis. Accurately reflect and reconcile customer payments in the accounting system.
- Daily review, monitor, and follow up on outstanding invoices to secure timely payments.
- Send reminders and proactively communicate with customers regarding upcoming and overdue payments and outstanding balances, ensuring a professional and customer-centric approach.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payment transactions to maintain accurate accounting records.
- Review and manage exposure to credit risk due to wallet negative balances.
- Suggest and take part in the implementation of effective strategies to reduce the organization's overall credit risk exposure.
- Suggest areas for improvement of the existing processes.

**Collaboration with Teams:**

- Work closely with finance, customer service, and other relevant departments to address customer inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to streamline processes and improve the overall credit control function.

**Reporting:**

- Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on the status of outstanding invoices.
- Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making related to credit and collections.

**Customer Relationship Management:**

- Build and maintain positive relationships both internally with other teams and externally with customers to facilitate smoother payment processes.
- Address customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- General understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with financial systems or software.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute, with the ability to assist in reconciling payments and resolving basic payment-related issues.
- Willingness to support senior team members in generating reports and conducting basic data analysis.
- A proactive attitude towards learning credit control processes and assisting in implementing suggested improvements.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to handle administrative tasks associated with invoice collection and customer inquiries.
- Prior experience as a credit controller or in collections would be an advantage.
