Data Engineer

**About the role**

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of core data platform work. You’ll build, improve, and operate reliable batch and streaming pipelines, help shape best practices, and keep the platform running smoothly as we scale.

**What you’ll do**

- Own end-to-end data pipelines: design, build, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot
- Build and maintain batch pipelines using Airflow + dbt targeting Snowflake
- Build and maintain streaming pipelines using Kafka
- Implement strong CI/CD practices for data workflows (testing, linting, deploys, automation)
- Work hands-on with Python and SQL to deliver clean, maintainable, well-tested code
- Partner with stakeholders to define requirements, data contracts, and operational SLAs
- Improve observability and reliability (alerts, monitoring, data quality checks)

**What we’re looking for**

- Senior-level experience in data engineering / data platform roles
- Strong Python and SQL skills (production-grade)
- Proven experience with:
- Airflow (or equivalent orchestration)
- dbt
- Snowflake
- Kafka (or equivalent streaming)
- Solid CI/CD experience (Git-based workflows, automated testing, deployments)
- Comfort owning systems in production and being accountable for uptime/reliability
- Clear communication and ability to work independently in a remote environment
