We are looking for a motivated
**Junior Database Administrator**
to join our IT team. In this role, you will assist in managing and maintaining databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in database administration and grow within a dynamic environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Assist in
**installing, configuring, and maintaining databases**
on Windows and Linux systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Support
**database administration tasks**
, such as user management, permissions, and data import/export.
- Help with
**backup and recovery procedures**
to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor database performance and report potential issues to senior team members.
- Maintain
**documentation**
for configurations and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support database-related projects.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

- Good knowledge of
**SQL**
and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with at least one DBMS (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
- Understanding of
**Windows Server**
and
**Linux**
fundamentals.
- Willingness to learn scripting languages (PowerShell or Bash) for automation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

**Preferred Qualifications**

- Exposure to
**backup and recovery concepts**
.
- Good understanding of
**networking fundamentals**
(TCP/IP, DNS).
- Interest in obtaining certifications such as:
- **Microsoft Certified: Database Administrator Associate**
- **Oracle Database Administration Associate**
