Node.js Backend Developer (Italian Speaker)

**Role Description**

FusionBit is supporting a client on a
**short-term backend project (2–3 months)**
.

The project requires
**exclusive collaboration with Italian-speaking stakeholders**
, therefore
**only Italian speakers will be considered**
.

**Role & Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, and maintain
**enterprise-level backend services**
- Build and expose
**RESTful APIs**
- Implement and manage
**authentication and authorization**
- Design and maintain the
**data layer**
, working with
**SQL and NoSQL databases**
- Gather and understand
**business requirements**
and translate them into technical solutions
- Collaborate with clients and
**cross-functional teams**
- Write
**high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code**
- Perform
**code reviews**
and ensure engineering best practices
- Take
**end-to-end ownership**
of services, from technical design to deployment and monitoring

**Required Skills & Experience**

- **Minimum 4 years of experience**
in backend development for enterprise applications
- Strong expertise in
**Node.js**
(Express, Fastify, NestJS)
**or**
**Python**
(Django, Flask, FastAPI)
- Solid experience designing and developing
**REST APIs**
- Experience with
**authentication and authorization flows**
- Strong background with
**SQL and NoSQL databases**
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients
- Ability to work independently in a
**fully remote**
environment
- **Fluent Italian (spoken and written) – mandatory**

**Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)**

- Experience with
**microservices and event-driven architectures**
- Knowledge of
**CQRS**
- Experience with
**message brokers**
(Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS)
- Familiarity with
**API Management platforms**
