**Research & Development Specialist.**

The Research & Development Specialist will drive innovation in packaging product development, material selection, and process optimization. This role involves conducting research, developing new products, improving existing packaging solutions, and ensuring all designs meet customer expectations and industry standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

- Conduct research on new materials, technologies, and trends in packaging solutions.
- Develop prototypes and test new packaging designs for functionality, durability, and compliance.
- Collaborate with the production and design teams to create innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions.
- Analyses feedback from customers and internal stakeholders to identify areas for product improvement.
- Enhance existing packaging products to meet evolving market demands and regulatory requirements.
- Implement modifications that optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Perform rigorous testing on materials and designs to ensure quality, safety, and performance.
- Document results from trials and experiments and present findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure all packaging meets relevant standards, certifications, and client specifications.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and quality assurance, to align R&D projects with company objectives.
- Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Engage with suppliers and external partners to source innovative materials and technologies.
- Research and recommend eco-friendly packaging materials and processes.
- Develop sustainable solutions that align with environmental goals and reduce the company's carbon footprint.
- Other duties in accordance with the job position.

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, or professional course in design.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- Strong understanding of R&D methodologies and packaging technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in design and analysis software Photoshop, Corel, Illustrator.
- Make the bill of material – BOM.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possess good computer skills particular design software.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Creativity and innovation in developing new packaging solutions.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing project priorities.
