Senior C++ Engineer – Real-Time Financial Data Systems

**Role Description**

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Tirana, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Senior C++ Engineer specializing in Real-Time Financial Data Systems, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance software solutions. Your daily tasks will include programming, software design, troubleshooting, and optimizing real-time data processing systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and ensure the reliability and scalability of backend systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Architect & Develop: Design and implement scalable, low-latency backend software in C++.

• System Maintenance: Ensure the stability and performance of existing real-time data distribution pipelines.

• Optimize: Write highly efficient, thread-safe code to handle massive data throughput.

• Network Programming: Implement and refine socket-based communication protocols.

• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new financial data feeds and features.

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

• Expert C++ Knowledge: Proven experience in backend C++ development within Windows or Unix/Linux environments.

• Concurrency: Deep expertise in multithreaded programming, synchronization primitives, and building race-condition-free applications.

• Networking: Strong hands-on experience with socket programming and a comprehensive understanding of the TCP/IP stack.

• Quality Focused: A track record of producing clean, reliable, and high-performance code that stands up to production rigor.

**Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Have)**

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PHP for automation or tooling.

• Familiarity with financial market protocols (e.g., FIX, FAST, or proprietary exchange feeds).
