Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

**Senior Quality Assurance**
**Engineer**
to join our founding team and establish a world-class quality practice for our next-generation low-code platform. In this role, you will take ownership of our QA strategy, lead automation efforts, and ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of the systems we deliver to enterprises and governments around the world.

**What you will do**

**Quality Engineering and Test Strategy**

- Lead end-to-end quality engineering initiatives across web, backend, and ETL systems.
- Apply the Test Pyramid effectively and drive shift-left testing across the development lifecycle.
- Lead test planning, test design, test case writing, and test data preparation.
- Own test execution across all layers, including unit, integration, E2E, smoke, sanity, and fault-tolerance testing for web, backend, and ETL systems.
- Maintain a structured bug reporting and resolution workflow with strong follow-up.

**Test Automation**

- Build, maintain, and scale automation frameworks using Java, TestNG, Selenium, Playwright, and Rest-Assured.
- Ensure automation suites are robust, maintainable, and CI-ready.
- Increase automation coverage meaningfully while maintaining stable and reliable tests.

**Performance and Non-Functional Testing**

- Conduct performance testing using JMeter for UI and API workloads.
- Prepare performance test plans, execute scenarios (load, endurance, spike, stress), and deliver clear performance reports.
- Exposure to security testing is a plus.

**QE Process and Delivery**

- Manage test cycles, test deliveries, QA sign-offs, and production sanity checks.
- Perform production smoke checks and contribute to release readiness assessments.
- Work with JIRA, Confluence, and QMetry for test management, reporting, and traceability.
- Support release planning, test effort estimation, and cross-team coordination.

**What we are looking for**

- 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing.
- Strong experience designing and executing functional and non-functional tests.
- Hands-on expertise with Java + TestNG automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Playwright, Selenium, and Rest-Assured.
- Clear understanding of QE processes and best practices.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and QMetry.
- Ability to design, execute, and interpret performance testing scenarios.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Fast learner who adapts quickly to new tools and environments.
- ISTQB-CTFL is an added advantage.

**Important to know**

This is a senior role with high responsibility and deep involvement in shaping our testing culture. We are looking for someone with a proven track record in building automation frameworks, improving testing processes, and ensuring high-quality releases in complex environments.

If you are early in your career or have limited experience with automation for production systems, this role may not be the right fit. However, we will open more roles in the future for other levels.
