Chief Media Officer

**Role Description** The Chief Media Officer at San Cristóbal Seguros Uruguay is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the company’s media, press, and public communications strategy. This role oversees the planning and execution of media campaigns, manages relationships with key media outlets, and ensures consistent, brand-aligned messaging across channels. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and reviewing press materials, coordinating interviews and public appearances, monitoring media coverage, and advising senior leadership on communication strategies. The Chief Media Officer collaborates with marketing, legal, and executive teams to align media initiatives with business goals, manage reputational risks, and respond to emerging issues. The position also involves analyzing campaign performance, optimizing media investments, and mentoring team members to maintain high standards of communication and public relations. **Qualifications** - Strong expertise in Media Relations and Public Relations, including managing relationships with journalists, editors, and media platforms. - Proficiency in Writing and Press Releases, with the ability to produce clear, compelling, and accurate content under tight deadlines. - Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting to senior leadership and external stakeholders. - Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic communication plans for brand positioning, reputation management, and crisis response. - Proven leadership experience in a senior communications, media, or PR role, preferably within insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry. - Strong analytical skills to evaluate media performance, track key metrics, and make data-informed decisions about campaigns and channels. - Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage cross-functional collaboration, and lead distributed teams. - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications are an advantage. - Fluency in Spanish and strong proficiency in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
