HSE Officer – Solar PV EPC Project 📍 Location: Bitola, North Macedonia (On-site) 🏗️ Project: Utility-Scale Solar PV Project 🏢 Company: POWERCHINA JEPCC – Skopje Branch 🕒 Employment Type: Full-time About the Role POWERCHINA JEPCC is seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Officer to join our Solar PV EPC project in Bitola, North Macedonia. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance with project HSE requirements, local legislation, and international standards throughout the construction phase. Key Responsibilities - Implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site. - Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with HSE requirements. - Perform risk assessments and support the preparation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Method Statements. - Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks and HSE awareness training. - Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel. - Monitor subcontractors and ensure compliance with project HSE standards. - Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. - Maintain HSE records, reports, permits and inspection documentation. - Participate in emergency response planning and safety drills. - Promote continuous improvement and a positive safety culture across the project. Qualifications - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. - Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure, renewable energy or industrial projects. - Experience on Solar PV, substation, transmission, or EPC projects is an advantage. - Good understanding of North Macedonia HSE regulations and international HSE standards. - NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or equivalent HSE certification is preferred. - Strong communication, reporting and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Good command of English; Macedonian language skills are highly preferred.
