**The Role:**
We're hiring an Automation QA Engineer to own our test automation strategy end to end. You'll report directly to our Senior QA and be the sole builder of a Playwright-based framework covering Jobsly and our other products. Worth noting: our dev team uses agentic AI to ship faster than a traditional team. Your automation suite is the safety net that makes sure speed doesn't come at the cost of quality.

**What you'll actually do:**

- Design and build a Playwright (TypeScript) automation framework from scratch across four web applications
- Write and maintain automated test suites covering smoke, regression, and critical user flows
- Integrate the automation suite into our GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline, triggering on every PR merge
- Build API automation tests to validate backend integrations and service contracts
- Analyse test results, triage failures, and communicate outcomes clearly to the QA and dev team
- Work with the Senior QA to prioritise automation candidates based on risk and test frequency
- Keep the test suite stable, fast, and reliable as the product evolves
- Grow automation coverage sprint by sprint in line with the product roadmap

**What we're looking for:**

- 2-4 years of test automation experience
- Playwright with TypeScript, hands-on, not just familiarity
- CI/CD integration experience, GitHub Actions preferred
- API test automation across REST services
- JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency
- You've built automation frameworks from scratch, not just maintained existing ones
- You know the difference between a flaky test and a real failure, and you fix both
- Nice to have: Page Object Model patterns, Allure or Playwright HTML reporting, Docker, mobile automation
