**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist to join the CCX team. In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of CCX’s proposal submissions, from tracking opportunities and drafting expressions of interest through to coordinating the development of technical and financial proposals. You will work closely with senior staff to understand project requirements, help articulate CCX’s relevant experience, and ensure our submissions are thorough, well-structured, and delivered on time.

This is a role for someone who is organized, a strong writer, and genuinely curious about international development and financial inclusion. The work sits at the intersection of research, writing, and project coordination, and offers meaningful exposure to how international development projects are structured and funded.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Opportunity Tracking & Pipeline Management**

•       Monitor calls for proposals and tenders from development banks and bilateral donors that CCX is actively engaged with, maintaining an up-to-date pipeline and ensuring no deadlines or submission requirements are missed.

•       Support the identification and vetting of potential partners and subcontractors for consortium bids.

**Proposal & Submission Development**

•       Support the preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), concept notes, and technical and financial proposals from drafting through to final submission.

•       Coordinate the collection and formatting of team CVs and staff profiles, ensuring they are tailored to the specific requirements of each submission.

•       Review and format proposal documents to ensure consistency, accuracy, and full compliance with donor requirements.

•       Manage submission logistics, ensuring all required documentation is complete, correctly formatted, and delivered on time.

**Knowledge Management & BD Operations**

•       Build and maintain CCX’s library of reusable proposal content, including past project summaries, firm credentials, capability statements, and sector write-ups.

•       Track submitted proposals and their outcomes, building institutional knowledge that informs and improves future submissions.

•       Support the development of marketing materials and company profiles that keep CCX’s external presence accurate and well-represented.

•       Support other business development activities as needed, including internal coordination, reporting, and ad hoc tasks that keep the BD function running smoothly.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**

•       1+ year of relevant work experience, ideally in a consulting, international development, or professional services environment.

•       Strong research and writing skills in English, with the ability to synthesize information clearly and adapt tone for different audiences and document types.

•       Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.

•       A strong sense of ownership: follows through on tasks, flags issues early, and does not need to be chased on deadlines.

•       Familiarity with the proposal and procurement processes of multilateral or bilateral development institutions is a strong plus.

•       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint; experience with proposal formatting and document design is a plus.

•       International experience, including having lived, worked, or studied abroad, is a plus.

•       Familiarity with financial inclusion, gender equality, SME development, or related development finance topics is a plus.
