**Senior Data Engineer in Skopje, Macedonia**

**The Job**

We are looking for a
**Senior Data Engineer**
to architect and build the next generation of data platforms for a high-traffic gaming operator. You won’t just be moving data; you will design scalable "Medallion" architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and drive high-performance analytics strategies. You will lead the implementation of reliable pipelines (batch and streaming) and influence critical decisions on data governance and modeling. This is a chance to move beyond simple ETL and shape a robust data ecosystem that powers real-time product features and strategic decisions.

My client is a growing IT development and management provider supporting a major international betting and gaming operator. With a focus on technical excellence and expanding their service portfolio, they provide a stable yet dynamic environment where engineering quality comes first. They are currently expanding their data team in
**Skopje**
and need experienced hands to help mature their data infrastructure.

**About You**

You are a data enthusiast who loves solving complex architectural puzzles. You have a strong foundation in SQL and Python but are equally comfortable discussing data modeling strategies or optimizing distributed systems. You want to build things that last, focusing on code quality, scalability, and observability.

- **5+ years**
of Data Engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in
**SQL**
and
**Python**
with experience in processing frameworks like
**Spark**
.
- Hands-on experience with modern stack tools:
**Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, or ClickHouse**
.
- Ability to design efficient schemas (Star Schema, Data Vault) and data marts.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (
**AWS, GCP, or Azure**
) and IaC (
**Terraform**
).
- Strong communication skills to align technical design with business needs.
