DevOps Senior Specialist

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Senior Specialist to join our PAM and Generosity team who works in a fast-paced, multi-country environment. You will play a key role in helping developer teams into every stage of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that our cloud and on-premise systems remain secure, reliable, and scalable; as well as supporting CI/CD processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

\* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (required)

\* Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field (preferred)

Experience:

\* 3–5 years of experience in DevOps or related roles

\* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation

\* Experience managing multi-country environments (on cloud + on-premise)

CORE TECHNICAL SKILLS

Programming Languages:

\* Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, JavaScript, or similar

\* Basic knowledge of Java and Spring/Spring Boot (preferred)

Cloud & Infrastructure:

\* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (primarily OCI, Azure, AWS)

\* Strong understanding of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration

\* Experience with Kafka (Strimzi) and Redis

\* Knowledge of Logging and Monitoring tools such as Fluent, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar

\* Basic knowledge of Database management (Oracle, MongoDB – preferred)

\* Understanding of networking principles (preferred)

DevOps & CI/CD:

\* Experience with GitHub Actions and ArgoCD, or similar

\* Familiarity with GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code

\* Knowledge of Spotify Backstage (IDP - preferred)

\* Knowledge of SonarQube and Veracode (preferred)

SOFT SKILLS

Essential Competencies:

\* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies - creating tasks, sprint planning, and work distribution

\* Strong collaboration skills across development, architecture, and operations teams (K8s admins, network admins, DevSecOps)

\* Proven technical writing skills, able to produce and maintain clear documentation

RESPONSIBILITIES

\* Provide guidance and best practices to development teams for designing and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating DevSecOps tools and principles (e.g., SonarQube, Veracode).

\* Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient deployments.

\* Embed security automation within build and deployment workflows, including vulnerability scanning and compliance checks.

\* Manage and maintain security tooling, monitoring, and alerting across k8s clusters.

\* Contribute to infrastructure as code initiatives, ensuring configurations follow security and compliance standards.

\* Support incident response activities, including root cause analysis and mitigation.

\* Promote a DevSecOps culture by sharing best practices and mentoring teams on secure development workflows.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

\* Strong background in DevSecOps principles and tooling

\* Experience in gaming, betting, or financial services industry

\* Proven experience with Kubernetes and Cloud platforms

\* Knowledge of security best practices and implementation
