**Job Description: Economist**

The Economist is responsible for managing and processing the company’s financial data, ensuring accuracy, compliance with applicable legislation, and proper financial reporting.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

- Accurately record all sales and purchase invoices in the accounting and inventory systems.
- Maintain and record all warehouse operations, ensuring proper reconciliation of goods movements.
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of all warehouse documentation (incoming and outgoing goods) and associated supporting documents (invoices, delivery orders, requisition forms, etc.), both visually and for transactional correctness.
- Chronologically record warehouse documents in the incoming and outgoing goods ledgers.
- Maintain warehouse inventory records and conduct monthly reconciliations with the warehouse manager and financial inventory, verified through formal sign-offs.
- Oversee the receipt and proper handover of goods, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Record cash transactions and perform daily cash register closures.
- Execute additional related tasks as assigned, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**

- University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and tax legislation;
- Experience with financial/accounting software (Financa 5 preferred);
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Good communication and teamwork abilities;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
