Experienced Back-End Developer

**Role Description**

We are seeking an
**Experienced Back-End Developer**

to support our team on a part-time, hourly-based engagement (15–20 hours per week).
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of a production-grade web application built with
**Node.js (Express.js)**
. You will be responsible for extending and optimizing RESTful APIs, managing PostgreSQL databases, and ensuring the application’s performance, scalability, and reliability.

**Responsibilities:**

• Develop and maintain all server-side components and services.

• Ensure optimal performance and responsiveness of the central database to front-end requests.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate server-side logic with user-facing elements.

• Build high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code.

• Implement effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.

• Break down assigned Epics and User Stories into technical tasks, provide time estimates, and manage your workload accordingly.

• Take ownership of database design and optimization when new requirements arise or existing structures need improvement.

• Recommend and implement improvements to processes, architecture, and technology stack.

**Qualifications**

- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Basic understanding or collaboration experience with Front-End Development
- Excellent Programming skills with experience in relevant languages and frameworks
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, team-oriented environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience with scalable software solutions is a plus
