Financial Accountant

**Position Overview**

The Financial Accountant is responsible for managing the organization’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, supporting audits, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in financial accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
