**Position: Housekeeping Manager**
**Reports to: General Manager**
**Location: Crowne Plaza Durrës by IHG, Albania**
**IMPORTANT:**
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience within a 5-star hotel environment, including experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper
- Previous experience with an international hotel brand is highly preferred
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is considered an advantage
- Strong financial awareness and budgeting skills
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset
**Role**
As a Housekeeping Manager, you are responsible for leading and managing all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. You will create a well-organized, efficient, and motivated team that consistently delivers exceptional guest experiences in line with brand standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Operations Management**
- Direct daily activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
- Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues, recognising good performance
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of housekeeping and laundry departments
- Plan, organize, and assign daily tasks ensuring optimal staffing levels
- Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet brand and quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of rooms, public areas, and facilities
- Coordinate deep cleaning programs and preventive maintenance with Engineering
**2.**
**People**
- Recruit, train, and develop housekeeping team members
- Set performance standards and conduct regular evaluations
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development plans
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high performance work environment
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety standards
**3. Guest Experience**
- Ensure all rooms and public areas deliver a clean, comfortable, and memorable experience
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special requirements promptly and professionally
- Coordinate VIP room setups and special amenities
- Maintain high service standards aligned with brand expectations
**4. Financial**
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets
- Monitor labor costs, productivity, and cost per occupied room
- Control inventory levels of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality
**5. Responsible Business**
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Maintain proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Lead sustainability and “green” initiatives (waste reduction, recycling, eco-friendly practices)
- Ensure proper lost & found procedures are followed
**6. Administration & Reporting**
- Maintain accurate records (inventory, attendance, maintenance issues)
- Prepare reports on departmental performance
- Collaborate with Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Perform ad-hoc duties and provide operational support to other hotel departments as required
