Intern Rust Engineer

Pentestiverse is a young startup that started 2 years ago as side-project remote academy for ethical hacking, founded by Dragan Ilievski. Having grown from a local success into an end-to-end solutions provider, Pentestiverse specializes in Hybrid Security Services (the best from humans and AI) for identifying and mitigating security flaws in LLMs, Apps & APIs. The startup continued to provide advanced tech trainings in over 18 up-to-date security domains, as well as premium consulting for architectural decision-making and security integration. By combining the automation, security tool integration, and tailored trainings, Pentestiverse has decided to make own core product called "IntelliSec" which will be responsible for securing businesses inside-out.

**Role Description**

This is a completely remote Intern Rust Engineer role located in Macedonia. The Rust Engineer will be responsible to assist in development and maintaining secure, efficient, and robust parts of IntelliSec using the Rust programming language. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging, and optimizing the product. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure security and performance requirements are met, as well as participating in code reviews and implementing best practices, are key aspects of this position.

**Qualifications**

- Proficiency in Rust programming language and experience in cross-platform programming (Windows, Linux, MacOS initially).
- Strong skills in utilizing AI for debugging, coding optimization, and secure coding practices.
- Git version control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work with remote teams.
- Relevant experience in agentic cybersecurity or related fields will be considered an advantage.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or experience in the related field.

The onboarding would take 3 months (probation) and if both sides are happy, we sign a contract yearly.
