IT Operations & Systems Support Specialist

**We are looking for an IT Operations & Systems Support Specialist to manage and support daily IT operations, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security. The role is focused on system administration, automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting across multiple environments.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage and support Windows and Linux environments, including remote servers
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, VBA, CMD)
- Monitor application and system performance using tools such as AppDynamics
- Troubleshoot system, network, and application issues, ensuring timely resolution
- Support VPN connectivity, access control, and secure communications
- Manage file transfer systems and resolve server communication issues
- Analyze and troubleshoot database issues (DB2), including locking and performance
- Support incident management and resolution through ticketing tools
**Technical Requirements:**
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell; knowledge of VBA (Excel) and Windows CMD
- Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux environments
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, VPN, access control)
- Basic database knowledge (DB2 is a plus)
- Experience with application monitoring tools (AppDynamics preferred)
- Basic understanding of WebSphere connection pools
- Experience with ticketing tools (e.g. Mantis)
**Nice to Have:**
- Previous experience in IT Helpdesk or End-User Support
- Windows 11 support (upgrades, troubleshooting, user management)
- Microsoft Office installation and troubleshooting
- Password reset and user access management
- MFA setup and troubleshooting
- VPN configuration and end-user support
- Basic networking troubleshooting (IP conflicts, proxy, connectivity issues)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
