An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our accounting team as a Junior Accounting and Audit Specialist/ Accounting and Audit Specialist at our Skopje office. We have a proven track record of successfully training and onboarding new team members.
\*\*Ideal Candidate:\*\*
The ideal candidate is fluent in written and spoken English and has at least two years of experience in accounting, audit, tax consulting and finance. In this role, you will be part of our Skopje-based team, supporting the Amplify ROI accounting team with key accounting processes and day-to-day support across various accounts.
\*\*Job Description / Your Responsibilities: \*\*
- Verify various documentation, including invoices, bills, checks, loans, payroll, and fixed assets, for appropriate accounting treatment.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly bank and payroll reconciliations.
- Support the monthly and quarterly closure process, which includes reconciling Balance Sheet accounts, calculating accruals and posting Journal Entries in the General Ledger.
- Assist in the review of monthly and quarterly Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash-flow reports
- Complete other ad hoc tasks as management requests.
\*\*Requirements:\*\*
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance or related field.
- Experience in Big 4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG) will be considered as a strong asset
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- At least two years of relevant experience.
- Experience with general ledger functions.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a drive to meet expectations.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Extensive experience with MS Office products, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online, is a plus.
