Oracle Database Developer

We are looking for a skilled Oracle Database Developer to join our Data & Platform team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in SQL and PL/SQL development, database design, and data modeling, with a focus on performance, scalability, and data quality. You will collaborate closely with architects, analysts, and developers to design, implement, and optimize robust data solutions supporting business-critical applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

\* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (required)

\* Master's degree in Software Engineering or related field (preferred)

Experience:

\* 3–5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Developer or PL/SQL Developer

\* Proven experience in SQL optimization, PL/SQL programming, and data modeling

\* Experience working in complex environments with multiple data sources and high transaction volumes

CORE TECHNICAL SKILLS

Database Development

• Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (packages, procedures, triggers, functions, cursors)

• Ability to design, implement, and optimize data models (conceptual, logical, and physical)

• Experience in data migration, ETL logic, and data validation

• Knowledge of indexing strategies, partitioning, and query performance tuning

• Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL Developer, Data Modeler, or TOAD

Data Architecture & Modeling

• Solid understanding of relational database design principles and normalization

• Experience creating ER diagrams and maintaining data dictionaries

• Ability to translate business requirements into data structures and optimize schema design

• Understanding of data integrity, referential constraints, and metadata management

Other Tools & Environments

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)

• Experience integrating with application frameworks (Java/Spring or similar - preferred)

• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) is a plus

• Knowledge of on cloud autonomous Oracle DB (preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain high-quality PL/SQL code, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability

• Design and optimize database schemas and data models in line with business requirements

• Define procedures to achieve a consistent data archiving

• Perform code reviews and provide feedback on SQL and PL/SQL implementations

• Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure efficient data integration and application performance

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance bottlenecks

• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security across environments

• Contribute to the definition and improvement of database development standards and best practices

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with data warehousing or business intelligence platforms

• Knowledge of ETL frameworks (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator, Talend)

• Knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate and Data Guard

• Experience in gaming, betting, or financial services industries

• Relevant Oracle certification (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, OCP)
