Steel Fabrication / Production Engineer

ATOM STEEL is looking for a
**Steel Fabrication / Production Engineer**
to join our team
**on-site in our factory in Kočani, North Macedonia**
.

This is a practical factory-based engineering position for a person who understands
**steel structures, workshop drawings, fabrication processes, welding coordination, and production follow-up**
.

The selected engineer will work directly with our management and production team on active steel projects and will be involved in the organization, supervision, and technical support of fabrication activities.

**Main responsibilities:**

- Review and interpret
**technical drawings, workshop drawings, and fabrication documentation**
- Support and coordinate
**steel structure production**
in the factory
- Organize and follow up
**cutting, fitting, assembly, welding, grinding, blasting, and painting preparation**
- Control dimensions, member identification, production sequence, and technical compliance
- Coordinate with welders, fitters, painters, and production supervisors
- Monitor fabrication progress and report technical issues on time
- Assist in preparing and checking
**material lists, cutting lists, and workshop requirements**
- Ensure proper execution of steel fabrication in accordance with drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements
- Support
**production planning**
, delivery preparation, and general factory workflow
- Help improve productivity, discipline, and technical control inside the workshop

**Required profile:**

- Experience in
**steel structures / structural steel fabrication / heavy steel or industrial steel production**
- Good understanding of
**workshop drawings and production drawings**
- Practical knowledge of
**welding, assembly logic, tolerances, and steel fabrication sequence**
- Ability to work directly in a factory environment and manage day-to-day production coordination
- Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and problem solving
- Good communication with workers, foremen, and management
- Willingness to relocate and work
**on-site in Kočani**

**Preferred qualifications:**

- Experience with
**EN 1090**
,
**ISO 3834**
, and steel fabrication quality systems
- Experience in production of
**steel structures, substructures, poles, industrial steel components, or similar**
- Knowledge of welding documentation, WPS/WPQR logic, and workshop quality control
- **IWE (International Welding Engineer) certificate is highly preferred**
- Candidates with
**IWE certification will have priority**
