Technical SEO Specialist

**The Role:**

As a Technical SEO Specialist, you will play a vital support role on our client projects by assisting with audits, monitoring, and implementing SEO best practices. You will work under the guidance of a Senior SEO Specialist to learn and execute the technical foundations that drive successful eCommerce website performance. This is an excellent opportunity to build hands-on experience in a collaborative environment with our Client Services and Development teams.

**Key Tasks & Responsibilities:**

- Build technical audits and prepare client performance dashboards.
- Support the setup and monitoring of core SEO elements, including XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and Google Search Console.
- Prepare and manage 301 redirect lists and monitor for 404/500 errors post-website launch.
- Audit and compile data on website performance using tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and Lighthouse.
- Create and configure tracking tags and events via Google Tag Manager.
- Identify and report on key metrics, including site speed, crawl errors, and indexing status.
- Test and report on Core Web Vitals using tools like PageSpeed Insights.
- Conduct routine site crawls with tools such as Screaming Frog to identify technical issues.
- Provide support on content and Meta Tags optimizations.
- Collaborate with the development team by providing clear, documented lists of technical tasks for implementation.

**Must Have:**

- Proven experience in an SEO role with a strong interest in the technical aspects of SEO.
- Understanding SEO principles and their impact on website performance.
- Familiarity with key SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Screaming Frog SEO Spider.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO elements like Meta Tags, header tags, sitemaps, and redirects.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data collection and reporting.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and other tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in a fast-paced agency environment.

**Good to Have:**

- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WordPress, BigCommerce).
- Exposure to Google Analytics 4 (GA4) reporting.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of Google App Script for Spreadsheet Manipulation.
- Interest in UI/UX and how it relates to SEO and conversion.
