The Dispatcher will coordinate daily loads and routes for drivers, ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries while optimizing schedules and equipment usage. Responsibilities include communicating with drivers throughout their shifts, monitoring load status, updating customers on shipment progress, and resolving any delays or issues. The role involves entering and maintaining accurate data in internal systems, preparing and updating dispatch documentation, and collaborating closely with operations, safety, and customer service teams. The Dispatcher will also help ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations, contributing to a safe and efficient operation. **Qualifications** - Experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a related transportation/operations role. - Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with drivers and customers. - Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, email) and the ability to learn dispatch or transportation management systems. - Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple shipments and requests at once. - Problem-solving skills and sound judgment to address route changes, delays, and unexpected issues in a calm, solution-focused manner. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build positive working relationships with drivers and colleagues. - Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours when business needs require it. - High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, transportation, or business is an advantage. - Previous experience in trucking, freight, or a similar industry is a plus.
