**Who we are** Smyleis an Amsterdam-based oral *beauty* brand. Yes, beauty, because we don't think your toothbrush should look like everyone else's. We make brushes, toothpaste and mouthwash that work better, look better, and do better. Bold colorways. Ocean-bound plastic. B-Corp certified. 1,500+ dental practices behind us. Six years in, across the Netherlands, Germany and the UK, with the US next. The oral care industry is minty fresh and dead boring. We're a rebel with a reason: making oral care healthy again, in every way possible. Sharp, playful, design-led — and we need someone to help us sound exactly like that on Social, every week. **Social Media & Community Manager — your day-to-day** We're looking for someone to own SMYLE's organic social presence. Two to Five posts a week, mostly Instagram with some Facebook, working alongside our designer and strategy lead. You'll source from our existing content library, build a warm community around the brand, and help us bring launches and IRL moments to life on social. This isn't a strategist role — we have that. It's not a project manager role — we don't need that. It's a hands-on, content-first role for someone who loves brand voice, has an eye for visuals, and knows how to make a feed feel like an actual brand. **What you'll do** - **Own the content calendar** — 2–5 posts per week across Instagram and Facebook, planned a month ahead - **Write the copy** — captions, story copy, replies. SMYLE voice: warm, confident, design-aware, direct - **Light video editing** — CapCut or similar, repurposing existing UGC and product footage - **Source UGC** — find the best moments in our existing content library and paid creator footage - **Run community management** — reply to comments, DMs, story tags within 24 hours - **Coordinate giveaways and creator outreach** — own the operational side of working with creators and partner brands - **Work from our visual moodboard + brand book** — built in collaboration with our designer **Must-haves** - **Excellent English** — written, conversational, on-brand. Dutch or German a strong plus. - **Strong social instincts** — you've run feeds before and you know what makes one work - **Visual taste** — you don't have to be a designer, but you have to recognize when something looks right - **Light video editing** — CapCut, basic Premiere, or similar. - **AI tools fluency** — Claude for copy support, Notion or similar for task tracking - **Community management muscle** — you actually like talking to people in DMs and comments - **Self-managed** — we won't be checking in every hour. You manage your own calendar. - **CET availability** — non-negotiable. Our team and our community are European. - **Curiosity** — you ask, you research, you don't say "I don't know" without trying first **Nice to have** - Background in beauty, wellness, design, or sustainability brands - On-camera comfort (we may activate this later) - Klaviyo or other email tool experience - Notion fluency for content planning **What you'll get** - A freelance rate that respects your experience (specifics agreed at offer stage) - Remote work across CET — wherever in the timezone suits you - A close working relationship with our Amsterdam-based founders and strategy lead - The chance to shape how a fast-growing D2C brand shows up culturally — not just executing, but building - Access to all SMYLE products (you can't sell a brush you've never used) - Hours that respect your other commitments — 10–15 hrs/week, predictable **Where this role can go** This role can grow with the brand.
