Lumma Ventures is a founder-first, network-led accelerator platform built to help ambitious European startups scale with more speed, structure, and long-term support. We are looking for a Venture Partner for the Adria Region to support the sourcing, evaluation, and development of startup opportunities for a Lumma Ventures Batch.
This is a relationship-driven and execution-oriented role for someone deeply connected to the startup ecosystem and motivated to help build a high-quality founder pipeline. The Venture Partner will play an important part in identifying strong startups, supporting founder engagement, and contributing to the success of the Adria Batch.
This role is designed for long-term collaboration and includes a carried interest structure linked to the performance of the Adria Region Batch.
What is a Venture Partner at Lumma?
A Venture Partner at Lumma is a trusted ecosystem operator who helps us extend our reach, strengthen local market intelligence, and improve the quality of founder selection and support.
This is not only a “referral” role. It is a strategic partner role that may include:
- startup sourcing,
- founder relationship building,
- early screening and evaluation,
- ecosystem mapping,
- local network activation,
- and selected support during the Batch lifecycle.
The Venture Partner helps Lumma build a stronger regional engine while staying aligned with our founder-first standards.
Key Responsibilities1) Deal Flow & Founder Sourcing
- Identify and attract high-potential startups from the Adria Region for the Lumma Batch
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, operators, investors, universities, communities, and ecosystem organizations
- Source startups through warm intros, events, outreach, and local network channels
- Help position Lumma Ventures as a trusted accelerator partner in the region
2) Startup Screening & Evaluation
- Conduct initial conversations with founders to assess fit, readiness, and potential
- Support early-stage evaluation based on team, problem, traction, market potential, and execution capability
- Share structured feedback and recommendations with the Lumma team
- Help improve selection quality by bringing regional insight and context
3) Batch Support & Founder Engagement
- Support selected founders during the Batch through light-touch guidance, introductions, and strategic feedback (based on expertise)
- Act as a regional bridge between founders and the Lumma network
- Help founders stay engaged and connected to relevant mentors, partners, and opportunities
- Flag risks, bottlenecks, or support needs to the Lumma team when relevant
4) Ecosystem Development
- Strengthen Lumma’s visibility and credibility in the Adria startup ecosystem
- Build relationships with local accelerators, startup hubs, universities, angel networks, and ecosystem leaders
- Identify partnership opportunities that can improve founder outcomes and regional reach
- Provide market intelligence on startup trends, sectors, and emerging talent in the region
5) Brand & Community Representation (Optional / As Needed)
- Represent Lumma Ventures at selected events, founder sessions, or ecosystem meetings
- Support regional activations, office hours, or community-building initiatives
- Contribute to local awareness and long-term network development
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a Venture Partner who combines ecosystem access, startup judgment, and founder-first values.
Ideal Profile
- Strong network in the Adria startup ecosystem (founders, investors, operators, communities, universities, etc.)
- Experience as a founder, startup operator, investor, scout, advisor, or ecosystem builder
- Ability to identify promising startups and assess early-stage potential
- Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability
- High integrity, professionalism, and long-term mindset
- Comfortable working in a structured, collaborative environment
- Aligned with founder-first support and ethical ecosystem participation
Strong Plus If You Have
- Experience with accelerators, angel networks, VC funds, or venture studios
- Experience supporting startups with fundraising, GTM, or growth
- Cross-border perspective (especially EU-to-U.S. readiness and expansion)
- Strong regional reputation and trusted local relationships
Compensation & Incentives
This role is structured as a performance-aligned Venture Partner engagement with upside tied to the success of the Adria Region Batch.
Compensation Structure
- Carried Interest participation linked to the performance of the Adria Region Batch
- Potential additional incentives may be structured based on:
- quality of sourced startups,
- accepted startups into the Batch,
- level of engagement and contribution,
- strategic ecosystem value created
Carried Interest (Batch-Based)
The Venture Partner will be eligible for a carried interest allocation tied to the economics/performance of the Adria Batch, subject to final agreement terms.
This is designed to align incentives around:
- sourcing quality founders,
- supporting strong Batch performance,
- and building long-term portfolio value.
Note: Carried interest terms, vesting/eligibility conditions, payout mechanics, and any performance thresholds will be defined in a separate Venture Partner agreement. Carried interest may vary depending on the level of engagement and contribution.
Engagement Model
- Flexible, long-term collaboration
- Batch-based involvement with recurring opportunities
- Role can be structured as part-time / fractional depending on contribution level
- Designed for ecosystem leaders who want meaningful upside and strategic participation—not only one-time referrals
