About the Team PXC Wholesale Assurance are a focussed team of Assurance Engineers and Leaders supporting Wholesale Partners and business units across PXC. They provide in life repair support on all products and services sold to Wholesale Partners and Direct Business customers. They are accountable for driving fault resolution in line with contractual SLA’s, ensuring a first-class customer experience. About Your Role As part of Wholesale Service Assurance team, you will play a key role in delivering the highest level of service to business Partners and customers. You will be responsible for managing change and complex security faults within SLA and provide day-to-day operational support of security infrastructure and services provided to Wholesale customers. You will act as a Technical Escalation point for the 2nd line Security team and be responsible for meeting SLA’s on all cases assigned to you. Major responsibility of a Security engineer is to devise and implement security protocols for the organisation’s systems and networks. This may include managing Partner firewalls, regularly check system logs for any unusual activity and conduct audits to ensure that the security measures are operating effectively. Requirements **Key Responsibilities in Your Role** **Accountability, Ownership, Authority** Main purpose of the Role: · Managing change request and complex incident cases · Day-to-day operational support of security infrastructure and services provided to PXC Partners · Be a technical escalation point for the 2nd Line team · Responsible for meeting SLAs on all assigned cases · To support Security delivery function on New provide, modify, Upgrade, Test and Turn up co-op with engineers and managing license upgrade. Key Tasks and Accountabilities · Ensure all change requests are progressed efficiently and correctly · Managing Advanced Security Change Requests · Managing Security Incidents · Assisting with ticket overflow (where necessary) · Attending Conference Calls as applicable · Aid the 2nd line team with queries and issues requiring senior involvement · Ensure KPIs and SLAs on all assigned workload is met · Develop accurate process documentation · Managing PXC Security MSOs · Assisting the Principal Security & SDWAN Engineer with projects · Able to work on call on a Rota basis Essential: · Self-motivated; good time-keeping and customer-value work ethic. · Strong analytical skills, gathers evidence, investigates solutions, considers implications for the business, goal-orientated · Takes pride in achieving best mutual outcome for Partner and PXC · Good communication skills, both written and verbal · Strong background in a Security environment (minimum 24 months) · Strong technical support background (minimum 24 months) gained supporting at least two Security product or platform (Fortinet, Cisco, Watchguard, Checkpoint) · Strong experience of working with firewall devices and management consoles · Good knowledge of firewall technologies and troubleshooting physical and virtual environments · Good organisational skills · Essential skills include a solid understanding of basic network protocols, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems. These early-career professionals should focus on honing their skills in network monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. · Security engineers should have advanced technical knowledge about network protocols, operating systems and security infrastructure.
