Product Owner

For our **Skopje** office, we are looking for a motivated **Product Owner (m/f/d)** to join our team on a full-time basis, starting immediately or as soon as possible. Our team develops products and capabilities that make it easier and more efficient to do business with Hornetsecurity. Our scope covers billing, subscription management, marketplace operations, and business-related features within the Hornetsecurity Control Panel. We support Sales teams, platform partners, distributors, and resellers by simplifying commercial processes, improving partner experiences, and enabling seamless business operations across our ecosystem. **Your Job** - Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders, customers and product squads. - Own, structure and continuously improve the product backlog. - Prioritize features, technical improvements, security enhancements and bug fixes based on customer value, business impact, risk and effort. - Write clear user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria. - Collaborate closely with software engineers, QA engineers, UX/UI designers, Product Managers and customer-facing teams. - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives. - Make timely, well-informed decisions to keep product development moving forward. - Ensure that delivered features meet quality, usability, security and compliance expectations. - Contribute to product discovery, roadmap planning and continuous product improvement. - Translate complex and technical topics into clear product requirements. - Maintain product documentation in line with the software development lifecycle. - Understand technical dependencies, APIs, integrations, data flows and architectural constraints. - Work closely with engineering teams to define technically feasible and scalable solutions. - Support the evaluation and adoption of AI-powered capabilities within our products, always considering security, privacy, reliability and user value. - Partner with customer-facing teams to support product adoption and address customer needs. **Your Profile** - You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field, or equivalent professional experience. - You have initial professional experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner or in a similar role for B2B or B2C software products. - You have a solid technical background and are comfortable reading, understanding and discussing software code. - You have good practical knowledge of **Python** and understand core concepts such as APIs, databases, testing, version control and software architecture. - You can collaborate effectively with developers and challenge technical decisions constructively when needed. - You understand the fundamentals of cloud-based software development and cybersecurity. - You enjoy solving complex problems in a collaborative and pragmatic way. - You are highly organized, detail-oriented, autonomous and accountable. - You are confident in communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - You are genuinely curious about new technologies and enthusiastic about **artificial intelligence** , including generative AI, machine learning and AI-assisted software products. - You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. *Nice to Have* - Experience working on sales, billing, cloud or SaaS products. - Experience with AI-powered products, large language models, prompt engineering or AI product discovery. - Hands-on experience building prototypes, scripts, automations or integrations with Python. - Experience with REST APIs, SQL, Git, CI/CD or cloud platforms. - Experience using Jira and Confluence. - Experience writing requirements or acceptance criteria using Gherkin syntax. - Familiarity with Agile and Scrum product development. - Fluency in German or French. **Your Benefits** - Free space for innovation and independent action in a fast-growing international company. - Short decision paths and flat hierarchies in an open work atmosphere. - Extensive Onboarding – we equip you with a welcome kit, 2 days Onboarding Bootcamp, Mentoring Program and regular feedback meetings. - Temporary Employee Exchange Program – we provide the ability for you to work at our global office locations and explore the world (e.g. Berlin, Madrid, Malta, Montréal, Washington D.C.). - Home-office-option and flexible working time. - Unlimited contracts: we’re looking for hornets to grow long-term with us. - Be-Active Bonus: we’ll keep you healthy with an allowance for your membership in fitness and sports clubs. - Referral Bonus: we pay 1500€ for each referral who is successfully hired by us! - Office Dogs are welcome – you don’t have to leave your dog alone at home! - Team events like Laser Tag, Office Movie Nights, Foodie Fridays and much more – let yourself be surprised!
