We’re a fast‑shipping, high‑velocity engineering team working across AWS/Kubernetes, Python services, Postgres document stores, large‑scale ingestion pipelines, and Dagster orchestration. **Role Overview** We’re looking for a senior technical leader to own and scale our entire data platform — ingestion pipelines, document storage, retrieval systems, and reliability engineering. You’ll set technical direction and operate at Staff/Lead level. **Responsibilities** - Own architecture + reliability of ingestion & document‑store services - Build and harden onboarding pipelines (timeouts, circuit breakers, deduplication, DLQs) - Lead retrieval layer (chunking, embeddings, ranking) powering AI agents - Drive data quality across ~80 document types and hundreds of tickers - Set engineering standards for testing, observability, incident response - Mentor mid‑level engineers and raise the bar across the team **Requirements** - 8+ years building production backend/data systems - Deep Python + strong Postgres fundamentals - Hands‑on AWS (SQS, DynamoDB, S3) + Kubernetes - Experience scaling document/ETL pipelines (filings, transcripts, IR materials ideal) - Orchestration experience (Dagster, Airflow, etc.) - Proven ownership of production incidents + post‑incident hardening **Nice to Have:** RAG/retrieval infra experience, fintech/capital markets background **Hiring Preferences** - **Location:** Eastern Europe (remote‑first) - **Compensation:** Above local market rates; high‑commitment culture - **Talent Bar:** We hire top‑tier engineers only **What We Offer** - Fully remote - Flexible hours - 25 days paid holiday - High‑impact work on a platform processing tens of thousands of SEC filings - If you want to lead the backbone of a real AI research platform, we’d love to hear from you.
