HSE Project Engineer

**Tasks**

- Advise the Site Engineer on best practice and HSE program developments
- File HSE performance reports, and other HSE reports as required
- Promote HSE performance expectations to the entire Project team
- The timely communication of key HSE compliance issues to the Project Management Team
- Conducting HSE Awareness Training for project personnel and preparing training materials and guideline sheets to facilitate compliance and communication
- Ensuring that our project management team, as well as other project personnel, are informed of the potential HSE risks and impacts of planned activities and the mitigation measure/actions necessary to maintain compliance with project permits and legislative requirements
- Reviewing project construction planning to advise and determine that proper and required HSE controls are incorporated
- Directly notifying the Project Engineer of any circumstances that warrant regulatory notification or management action to ensure effective HSE compliance
- Helping to ensure that all site engineering activities are planned and conducted in accordance with applicable HSE regulations and site-specific requirements
- Conducting regular field inspections and audits of construction activities for compliance with existing project permits, project approvals and all applicable HSE regulations
- Coordination of site inspections by regulatory agencies and interface during any problem resolution
- Preparation of an HSE compliance summary on a regular basis for distribution and review by the Project Engineer, Site Engineer and Field Engineers
- Ensure that employees are informed of hazardous conditions, concerns or near miss incidents
- Assist in facilitating and/or conducting accident/ incident investigations

**Qualifications**

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Environmental Engineering
- Preferably a certification in HSE (not mandatory)
- Driving License B
- Foreign Language: English A2 or upper Level
