As
**Retail Equipment Delivery Senior Specialist (Java Developer Senior Specialist)**
you will be responsible for managing, developing, and optimizing Lottery gaming terminals in both Italian and international contexts, ensuring their functionality, security, and continuous evolution. This role focuses on mission-critical systems, guaranteeing seamless operation and reliability of retail software equipment.


**What you'll do:**

- Develop, manage, and test Java applications and microservices using the Spring Framework (Spring Boot) and OSGI Framework by using Maven, GIT, Jenkins.
- Build high quality code by developing both unit and integration testing.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Ensure code quality through continuous security analysis and vulnerability detection using tools such as SonarQube and Veracode.
- Manage and monitor Linux operating systems.
- Manage containerized applications and orchestrate them using Kubernetes.
- Monitor, log, and optimize system performance to ensure the reliability and efficiency of high-performing systems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business analysts to ensure high-quality software releases.
- Collaborate with peer organizations, provide support in technical problem-solving, work both independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate an aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
- Work in accordance with the policies and procedures in force.

**What you'll bring:**

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Alternatively, proven experience in the software development sector.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Proficient in Java and frameworks such as OSGI, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring JDBC.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with containers build using Docker and Orchestrator Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of Microservices architecture.
- Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and base commands.
- Strong knowledge of integration technologies and patterns (e.g., REST, SOAP, JMS, Kafka).
- Ability to write unit tests and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito).
- Good knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to share knowledge.
- Ability to plan and organize work, meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
- Proactive, flexible, innovative, determined, and able to work with teams in several countries and parallel projects.
- Interest in staying updated on new technologies and best practices to improve skills.
- Proficient in English spoken and written.

**Preferable but not necessary :**

- Good knowledge of Italian Language.
- Mentoring skills and ability to support junior colleagues.
- Certification in Java development or Kubernetes.
- Experience with C, C++, Golang and Python programming languages.
- Experience with Yocto Project.
- Experience with IOT technologies.
