The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from initiation through delivery , ensuring objectives are achieved within scope , budget , quality , and timeline. The role provides overall project leadership , manages cross-functional teams , drives stakeholder engagement , mitigates risks , and ensures alignment with business strategy and corporate governance standards.
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for project execution, coordinating business and IT teams while ensuring effective communication , financial oversight , and successful delivery of business value.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end project execution from initiation to closure.
- Define project scope , objectives , deliverables , and success criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules.
- Manage project timelines , milestones , dependencies , and critical paths.
- Ensure project delivery within scope , budget, quality , and agreed deadlines.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
- Drive project governance and compliance with corporate standards.
- Manage project closure activities , lessons learned , and project documentation.
Risk, Issue & Change Management
- Identify , assess , and manage project risks and mitigation strategies.
- Manage project issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate change requests and assess business and technical impacts.
- Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.
- Ensure effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial & Resource Management
- Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance.
- Control project expenditures and resource allocation.
- Coordinate vendor activities and contract deliverables.
- Ensure efficient utilization of project resources.
Stakeholder & Team Management
- Lead cross-functional project teams across business and IT.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Facilitate project workshops , planning sessions , and governance meetings.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between departments.
- Report project status , risks , and achievements to sponsors and steering committees.
- Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare executive dashboards and project status reports.
- Present project progress to senior management and governance boards.
- Track KPIs , milestones , and project performance metrics.
- Ensure project documentation remains complete and compliant.
- Promote continuous improvement and adoption of project management best practices.
Mandatory Requirements
- Fluent knowledge of Italian & English.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong planning , organizational , and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- High level of accountability and decision-making capability.
Nice to Have
- Practical knowledge of : HP PPM (Project and Portfolio Management).
ServiceNow.
Jira.
Confluence.
- Experience managing cross-functional IT and business projects.
- Knowledge of Agile , Waterfall , or Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Project management certifications (PMP , PRINCE2 , Scrum Master , Agile certifications) are considered an asset.
