Senior Accountant Financial Reporting

Working remotely for a forward-thinking Western European company, you’ll be part of our ambitious journey to grow and innovate. **What are you going to do?** As an Annual Reporting Specialist you compile and review annual reports and prepare various financial (interim) reports. You work with corporate income tax, personal income tax, and Dutch tax legislation. You also ensure proper file formation and management. You may be required to guide/supervise other accountants and maintain independent contact with customers. • Independently compiling and preparing annual reports including non-complex consolidation. • Ensuring accurate and proper file formation and management. • Preparation of corporate and personal income tax return. • Preparing various financial reports, focusing on corporate income tax, personal income tax, and Dutch tax legislation. • Preparing monthly financial statements during the month-end close for assigned portfolio. • Maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and general ledger accounts. • When needed, independently maintain regular direct contact with customers, ensure high-quality deliverables. • When required, supervising the work of others, providing guidance and support to team members. • Performing other accounting duties and supporting others as required or assigned. **About you** • Master's Degree required (Major in Accounting or a related field) • At least 6 years of work experience in complex accounting jobs and supervising the work of others. Certified (Public) Accountant preferred. • Advanced experienced in IFRS (or Dutch GAAP). • Experience with SME clients and standard corporate structures. • Ability to prepare single-entity financial statements under IFRS (or Dutch GAAP). • Advanced knowledge of standard tax positions and filings (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Personal Income Tax). • Experienced in bookkeeping, processing VAT declarations, monthly reconciliations, and preparing various financial reports. • Experience in compiling and reviewing draft annual financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS (or Dutch GAAP).. • Experience managing multiple accounting engagements and overseeing the work of others. • Proven ability to manage client relationships and ensure quality. • Work experience in an accounting agency is required.
