Tirana International Airport is seeking an experienced and commercially driven
**Ticketing Manager**
to lead and develop our ticketing operations.
This is a unique opportunity for an aviation professional to manage ticketing services for both
**legacy and low-cost carriers**
, while contributing to the future growth of a dedicated travel agency business within the TIA ecosystem.
**About the Role**
The Ticketing Manager will be responsible for the overall management, performance, and development of all ticketing activities at Tirana International Airport. The successful candidate will ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, commercial growth, and outstanding customer service while building strong relationships with airline partners and industry stakeholders.
As part of TIA's growth strategy, the role will also lead the development of new commercial opportunities, including the establishment and expansion of a dedicated travel agency operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all ticketing operations for airlines operating at Tirana International Airport.
- Ensure efficient ticket issuance, exchanges, refunds, fare management, and customer support processes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with airline partners, travel agencies, and aviation stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, BSP procedures, airline policies, and company standards.
- Manage and develop the Ticketing Team through effective leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor operational and commercial KPIs and implement improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase ticket sales, ancillary revenues, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead the development and future growth of a dedicated travel agency business.
- Prepare business plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
- Drive innovation, digitalization, and process optimization within ticketing operations.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in airline, airport, travel agency, or ticketing operations.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of airline ticketing procedures, fare construction, airline distribution systems, and passenger services.
- In-depth understanding of IATA standards, BSP processes, and aviation industry regulations.
- Experience working with Global Distribution Systems (GDS), preferably Amadeus. Knowledge of Sabre or Galileo is an advantage.
- Proven commercial mindset with experience in business development and revenue growth.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
